How to: Access an electronic version of The Best We Could Do by Thi Bui
1. Visit the LAVC Library homepage and search for “the best we could do” (with quotation marks) in the search bar at the top of the page:
2. At the results screen, click on “See all versions” (in blue) from the first result
3. Click on “Available online” (in orange) from the second result:
4. Click on “EBSCOhost Ebooks” (in blue):
5. If you are off-campus, you will be asked to log in with your UIA username/password. Your username is everything BEFORE the “@” symbol in your LACCD email address. Your password is your four-digit birthday, MMDD (example: April 5th = 0405):

6. Once logged in, click on “EPUB Full Text” (in blue) on the left side of the screen:
7. Start reading! You can use your mouse to scroll down through the pages, or, use the left and right arrows at the bottom of the browser to turn the page. You can also skip to different sections of the book from the table of contents on the left-hand side. You are allowed to save/email up to 100 pages per email address.
NOTE: You will need to use “full screen view” (click on the 4 arrows in the bottom right corner of the browser) in order to see the entire page. Without full screen, some of the artwork will be cut off).
