The LAVC Library is proud to offer Libby, an innovative in-browser and mobile app from OverDrive designed to make borrowing and enjoying eBooks and audiobooks from the Library easier than ever.
Follow the directions below for accessing Libby via the Libby app (recommended) or a computer.
1. Download the Libby app onto your device (e.g., phone/tablet/Kindle)
2. Open the Libby app. When asked "Do you have a library card" choose "Not Yet."
3. Choose "Find Libraries Nearby"
4. Click "Search" in the top right corner, then search for "Los Angeles Valley College" and click on it
5. Choose "Sign in With My Card," then "Next"
6. If you get a pop-up, click "Continue," then sign in using your SSO/SIS/Canvas username and password
7. You're connected!
8. You can add your local public library to your Libby account to get access to even more audiobooks and eBooks. From the center “hamburger” menu, choose “Add Library” to search for your public library and connect your library card.

The Los Angeles Public Library (LAPL) provides audiobook and eBook checkouts via Libby as well!
Borrowing library books in any format is always free -- you'll just need a library card. If you don't already have a Los Angeles Public Library card, you can apply for one online. You can also visit any LAPL library branch and staff can help you get a card.
